Join the »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â Autism Team for the next event in our speaker series: Autistic Voices.
Michael Barton is a sought-after keynote speaker on autism and neurodiversity, with appearances across the UK on Channel 4, the BBC, and in New Scientist magazine, as well as delivering a TEDx talk. He has featured multiple times on the main stage at The Autism Show alongside top professionals, sharing his solutions-focused approach to living and working as an autistic adult. Michael is passionate about highlighting the positive aspects of autism, offering audiences an empowering and hopeful perspective on the future.
Michael will be sharing his experience of navigating the workplace as an autistic adult during a decade in full-time work as a Data Analyst. We will also hear about the three books he has published: It’s Raining Cats and Dogs; A Different Kettle of Fish; and What has Autism Ever Done For Us?
The event will run from 6-8pm in The Fletcher Hub (4.09) in the Design Wing, Vijay Patel Building. [Please note this is a change from the location previously advertised]

6-6:30pm: Our Therapy Dog (Cara) will be on meet-and-greet duty as you arrive and get settled. We will also have copies of Michael’s books available for you to have a look through.

6:30-7:30pm: Michael will give his talk (including 10-15 mins for questions). There is no pressure to ask questions or engage in discussion - you are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

7:30-8pm: Opportunity to chat with others and share thoughts on the talk or discuss experiences if you would like to.
