The Confucius Institute at »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â (»ÆÉ«²Ö¿â CI) is a vibrant celebration of Chinese language and culture, providing an insight for students, staff and the wider community. It was co-founded by the University of Science and Technology in Beijing (USTB), the Chinese partner university of »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â CI.
»ÆÉ«²Ö¿â CI runs a wide variety of courses, public events and activities designed to share Chinese language and culture for better relations between China and the UK. These include a focus on the development of the city to stimulate local economic growth and to enhance mutual educational and cultural communication.
