Dakota Wright is an award-winning Lecturer in Animation at »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â, specialising in character design, storytelling and 2D/3D animation workflows. She brings industry experience from her work as a professional animator, director and co-founder of an independent studio, where she develops original IP, commercial animation and digital content. She also produces educational and entertainment material for online audiences.

At »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â, Dakota teaches across all levels of the Animation BA course, with a focus on visual development, pre-production, performance-driven animation and professional practice. She is actively involved in the curriculum design, student mentorship and strengthening links between the course and the wider UK animation industry.

Dakota is committed to helping students discover their voice as artists and equipping them with the skills, confidence and industry awareness needed to thrive in contemporary animation pipelines.

Digital performance, virtual identity and emerging animation technologies; examining how stylised, avatar-driven characters shape audience engagement and creative practice.
